George Li (黎卓宇) was born in August, 1995 in Boston, USA. He began studying piano at four with Mrs. Dorothy Shi (杨镜川) for seven years. George also studied with Mr. Chengzong Yin (殷承宗) for three years.
Currently, George studies piano from Ms. Wha Kyung Byun at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, where he pursues music studies, taking classes such as chamber music, composition, music theory and piano seminar. George's mentor is Mr. Mark Churchill.
George is the second prize winner of 2008 Gina Bachauer International Piano Junior Artist competition.
George lives with his family in Lexington Massachusetts where he attends Jonas Clarke Middle School. George is an active fan of the Boston Red Sox. Piano is not George's only love and excel. Besides music, he enjoys reading, biking, soccer, baseball, computer games, attending concerts -- and thinking! He also shows talent and interest in math, science, and literature.
